Community giving in Missoula, MT

The team at Nelson Dentistry LOVES Missoula.  We feel fortunate to live and work in such an awesome community and want to ensure that we care for both the oral health of our patients and the health of our community.

We appreciate the opportunity to support non-profits that are making an impact in Missoula.  Over the past year, we’ve partnered with the Missoula Food Bank, Missoula Youth Homes, the YWCA, the Missoula YMCA, Roots Gymnastics and Dance Booster Club, and Mount Sentinel Little League.  We’d like to share a little bit about each of these organizations and encourage you to support local non-profits because they truly are the heart of our community!

The Missoula Food Bank has been providing food assistance to families and individuals in need in Missoula for 40 years. Their impact in the community is staggering. In 2021, 1 in every 4 people in Missoula County utilized their emergency food services.

The YWCA is the leading organization in Missoula for moving women and families out of crisis and empowering them to achieve lasting independence. They’ve been doing their important work in Missoula for 110 years.

The Missoula Family YMCA has served the greater Missoula community since 1967.  From youth sports and summer camp to group fitness classes and childcare, The Y offers programs that help each Missoulian reach their full potential.

Roots Gymnastics has been teaching the youth of Missoula and the surrounding area for over 40 years.   They provide a safe and nurturing environment where students can make regular progress as they develop as a person and athlete.

Mount Sentinel Little League’s purpose is to teach the 350+ children involved in their program the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and respect for authority so that they can be well-adjusted, stronger, and happier children who will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.
